There is also a multiplayer deathmatch battle mode. As with previous titles in the franchise, Rush 2049 features a stunt mode in which the player scores points for complex mid-air maneuvers and successful landings.
#Play san francisco rush 2049 series
A major difference in game play compared to predecessors in the series is the ability to extend wings from the cars in midair and glide. It also features a multiplayer mode for up to four players and Rumble Pak support on the Nintendo 64 port. The game features a futuristic representation of San Francisco and an arcade-style physics engine. The Gauntlet obstacle course (as seen in Nitronic Rush) was also ported to Distance under the name Gladiator.San Francisco Rush 2049 is the third game in the Rush series, sequel to San Francisco Rush and Rush 2: Extreme Racing USA. These games go a little too far with the futuristic style in my opinion which is why I still want a successor or a remake of Rush 2049.ĮDIT: I forgot to mention there is a couple of stunt arenas in the Steam Workshop for Distance that are remakes of Rush 2049 stunt arenas. One of the main inspirations of Nitronic Rush is Rush 2049 actually. The closest we have to Rush 2049 is Distance and Nitronic Rush (Distance is the spiritual successor of NR). I want this game to come back with the same arcade physics with modern graphics more cars more tracks etc. It actually might be my #1 most favorite. Rush 2049 is in my top 5 favorite racing games of all time.
